PurpleStride
Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
My Story
Right before the 2016 presidential election, my father, Michael Spicer, was in his third year of his fight with pancreatic cancer. Emotionally, I was pulled in twodirections – excitement at the possibility of a great professional achievement, and deep anxiety over my father’s illness.
Then shortly after winning the 2016 election, in December 2016, I lost my father to pancreatic cancer.
Being able to share my experiences at the White House with my family was one of my favorite parts of my time there, and I never got to do that with my father.
So many others have lost loved ones to pancreatic cancer before their time, the same way I lost my father. Please consider joining me in continuing their fight against the disease and help us find a cure.
Donate to my team here.
Thanks,
Sean
