A couple of weeks ago I wrote a piece offering advice to the incoming pr4ess secretary - offering 14 pieces of advice (read it here).
Since then, Karoline Leavitt has been named the 37th White House press secretary and there has been a flurry of recommendations made by others about changes that should be made to how the the briefing room operates.
First, it is important to step back and explain how it all works.
