There’s been lot of talk in the media recently about a Maryland father who was “accidentally deported” and is now in an El Salvador prison.

Sounds pretty awful, right?

It would be, if that was an honest characterization. But what is the truth?

The man in question, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, has many defining characteristics. He’s a citizen of El Salvador, a member of the notorious MS-13 gang, an illegal alien, and an alleged repeat violent wife-beater.

All that aside, based on his record of repeated domestic abuse, Abrego Garcia was marked eligible for deportation as early as 2019 - and he had a lawful deportation order at the time of his deportation.

Yet the term the media chose to describe him was “Maryland man,” “Maryland father.”

Conservatives are fighting back against the shameless spin, just take this *edited* NYT article that the White House X account shared last week:

But this story is just the latest illustration of how the media consistently uses misleading language to slant the news to align with the Left’s agenda.
